 Abstract:  Benedict Crowell (1869-1952) was a Cleveland, Ohio, engineer, builder and bank president who became Assistant Secretary of War and Director of Munitions during World War I. The collection consists of correspondence, military and personal documents and clippings relating to Gen. Crowell and his career (1902-1952); and deeds, contracts and clippings relating to his wife's families (1794-1886). Prominent correspondents include Woodrow Wilson and John J. Pershing.

 Abstract:  The collection consists of typescripts and original correspondence for a variety of members of the Philip Cobb and the Edward William Andrews families over the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Genealogical information is provided for most of the family members. The collection pertains primarily to the family relationships and activities of the Caius and Philip Cobb, the Andrews and the Younglove families.

 Abstract:  Philip L. Cobb (1870-1929) was a Cleveland, Ohio, civil engineer, surveyor and amateur genealogist. He traced his family's history and published over a dozen books on it and other genealogical topics. The collection consists of genealogical charts, manuscripts of Cobb's publications, correspondence, notes, notebooks, newspaper clippings, genealogical data cards and index cards detailing the genealogy of the Cobb family and its allied families.
